BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Search and rescue
operations have been completed under the rubble of a building that
collapsed during an earthquake in the Sindirgi district of
Balikesir province in Türkiye. The life of one of the four people
pulled from the rubble could not be saved, Turkish Interior
Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, Trend reports.
Ali Yerlikaya, who issued a statement on the situation after the
earthquake, said that 16 buildings were destroyed in the region, of
which only four were residential, and 29 victims are currently
undergoing treatment in hospitals.
The minister said an investigation to determine the damage in
the region would begin early in the morning.
23:41 (GMT+4) Five people have been rescued
from the rubble of a collapsed building after an earthquake in
Türkiye’s Balikesir province, Trend reports.
During the ongoing work, another person was rescued from the
rubble. The victim was taken to an ambulance.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance. Search and rescue
efforts are reportedly ongoing.
Earlier, four people were pulled from the rubble.

6.1 has occurred in the Turkish province of Balikesir, the Turkish
Interior Ministry’s Disaster Management Agency (AFAD) says,

According to information, the epicenter of the earthquake was at
a depth of 11 km.
According to preliminary data, no damage or casualties were
recorded as a result of the incident.
