Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Power, Oil & Gas and Mining sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were PhosAgro PJSC (), which rose 2.62% or 147.00 points to trade at 5,749.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AK ALROSA PJSC () added 0.92% or 0.19 points to end at 20.89 and TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin () was up 0.90% or 4.60 points to 518.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unipro PJSC (), which fell 5.29% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.05 at the close. Magnit PJSC () declined 3.55% or 67.00 points to end at 1,821.00 and Novolipetsk Steel () was down 3.50% or 2.56 points to 70.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 152 to 92 and 9 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 6.67% to 39.85.
Futures for August delivery was up 1.58% or 63.60 to $4,099.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in September fell 1.08% or 0.89 to hit $81.15 a barrel, while the October contract fell 0.19% or 0.17 to trade at $87.04 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 80.01, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 92.23.
The Futures was down 0.91% at 99.82.
