Dave Grohl and company perform “Caught in the Echo” and “Child Actor” as first American musical guest to play U.K. version of SNL
Foo Fighters performed two Your Favorite Toy songs live for the first time as the band served as musical guest on the latest episode of SNL UK.
Just a day after the arrival of their new album and ahead of their tour kickoff this week, Dave Grohl and company stopped by the London-filmed show to live-debut “Caught in the Echo” and “Child Actor.”
By serving as musical guest on the fifth episode of SNL UK, Foo Fighters also became the first-ever American artist to serve as an SNL UK musical guest: The previous performers were Wet Leg, Kasabian, Wolf Alice, and Jorja Smith, with British singer Meek set for next week,

Grohl wasn’t just limited to the performances: He also made a cameo during host Nicola Coughlan’s opening monologue (along with fellow surprise guest Jimmy Fallon), and appeared in one of the episode’s sketches.
Your Favorite Toy, Foo Fighters’ first album with new drummer Ilan Rubin, was released on Friday. On April 28, the band will take the stage at Bridgeport, Connecticut’s Total Mortgage Arena, followed by a pair of May festival gigs at Daytona Beach’s Welcome to Rockville and Napa, California’s BottleRock. After spending June and July on the road in Europe, the band will kick off their North American stadium tour August 4 in Toronto. That trek concludes September 26 in Las Vegas and includes a headlining stop at Louisville’s Bourbon & Beyond festival.
