What we know about the shooting so far
Two detainees have been killed after a shooting erupted at an ICE field office in Dallas, Texas Wednesday morning, NBC News reported.
Another detainee is being treated in the hospital, police said.
Dallas Police previously said two people had been taken to the hospital and one had died at the scene.
Police responded to reports of the shooting at around 6.40 a.m. The preliminary investigation determined that a suspect opened fire at a government building from an adjacent building, authorities said.
The suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a post on X.
He was found dead on the roof of a nearby immigration attorney’s office, according to local reports.
Neither the suspect nor the victims have been publicly identified.
